If I right click on a .JPG or .PNG file, Paint 3D does not appear, even if I select Chooese Another App, More Apps and then scroll down. However, Paint 3D does appear in the Start Menu listing of all programs.

Replied on August 17, 2024. Report abuse. There's no official word from Microsoft as to why Paint 3D has been discontinued, but it's safe to assume that the application wasn't being used enough. In addition, the classic Paint application has been greatly enhanced thanks to several updates.

there is no way to restore it back to opening paint 3d when the icon is clicked in snipping tool. You have to save screenshot in snipping tool, and You have to open Paint 3D app separately. You have to open that screenshot in Paint 3D app. You can provide feedback or report a problem directly to Microsoft through Feedback Hub about your issue.
